Coming to Pamplona

There are three main ways to get to this small, somewhat secluded city. Firstly, you can get here from other parts of Spain through Pamplona Airport. However, if you are coming from a foreign country, I recommend you to come to Barcelona or Madrid airport first, and then to take bus or train to this city.  You can check schedule and reserve tickets for bus from ALSA, and train from RENFE.

So, you are here at Pamplona airport/bus station/train station. Now what?

From the Airport

Getting into the City

One way to get to Pamplona is through Pamplona Airport. It is a small airport that does not offer international flights. However, It is convenient when you are coming from other parts of Spain.

The airport is about 10km from the city Center. So I recommend you to take taxi from the airport’s taxi stand if you want to get into the city of Pamplona.

From Bus Station

If you are coming to Pamplona from a foreign country, I recommend you to go to Barcelona or Madrid airport first and then to take a train or bus to Pamplona.

If you’re taking a bus, you can reserve one from ALSA. This bus company will also be very useful when you are willing to travel around Spain. Pamplona bus station is in the walking distance to any area of the city. But if you have a lot of luggages, you can get a taxi at a taxi stand in the bus station.

From Train Station

If you want to come to Pamplona from Barcelona or Madrid through train, you can reserve it through renfe. Unlike the bus station, the train station is a bit further away from the city center and the residential areas. You can get to the residential areas from the station by taking the bus line 11 or a taxi.
